Iki Ramen

We give this place generally a 5 star because of the friendly staff and sleek atmosphere. The food itself however was just a 4/5 for us. We had better ramen elsewhere but it definitely fed us and kept us warm on a rainy night. First, the negative of the ramen. The spicy ramen was just the chili red stuff on the side (as pictured) that you mixed yourself. The broth was lacking umami and the egg was not ramen egg (just boiled egg, not even soft boiled). The positive of the ramen were the pork belly was good and plenty of corn, ramen, and mushroom. They were super busy so make a reservation online or sit at the bar for (slightly) faster service. The restaurant can validate your parking (free for 1 hour). Restroom was clean. All in all, it was ok. We probably will try other ramen places in the area.

I found this restaurant accidentally, as it was close to our hotel ( Volume Tribute- lovely hotel!) I was craving for Japanese noodles and It was just what I needed and the we met the chef Jeff. He was fantastic !!! We talked about more Japanese food and We decided to try his Omekase menu for the next evening and It was mind blowing . I share it on the attachment. So if you are in Sunset Boulevard and craving for good quality Japanese , Iki Ramen ( and Iki Nori the sister restaurant not far away from iki Ramen) will not disappoint your taste buds and also its not heavy on your pockets! ( all the omekase menu, you can also find it in the ala carte menu. If you fancy anything from my photos just show the waitress my photos ( all the waitresses are very good in service and knowledgeable as well) they will be able to tell you which one is this on the menu

A hidden gem for Asian cuisine in the Holywood area, all waiters and waitresses are very helpful. The food are marvelous, the Ramen, Gyoza and the Ship Koji ice cream is lovely!
